📰 May 2026 — Monthly Member Update

Conference Registration Open: The 2026 American Polyurea Annual Conference (September 18–20, Austin, TX) is now open for registration. Early-bird pricing ends July 31.
New Certification Program Launched: American Polyurea and ArmorThane have partnered to launch the Certified Polyurea Applicator (CPA) Level 2 credential. Applications are now being accepted.
EPA Update: The EPA finalized updated guidance on VOC exemptions for fast-cure polyurea coatings under the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). AP’s Government Affairs team submitted formal comments on behalf of members during the public comment period.
New Members: American Polyurea welcomed 47 new members in April 2026, including 12 new Certified Applicator Members from Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
Member Spotlight: Congratulations to Jennifer Sullivan of SafeCoat Systems (FL) for completing her 100th certified safe room installation!

Q2 Board Meeting Scheduled: The Q2 Board of Directors Meeting will be held virtually on May 14, 2026. Members may submit agenda items through the member portal through April 28.
Market Report Published: The AP 2026 Polyurea Market Outlook Report is now available exclusively to members. Key findings include a projected 8.4% CAGR through 2029 driven by infrastructure spending and defense applications.
Workshop Recap – Atlanta: Over 90 applicators attended the Advanced Equipment Calibration Workshop in Atlanta, GA. Presentation slides are available in the member resource center.
Award Nominations Open: Nominations are now open for the 2026 AP Industry Excellence Awards. Categories include Applicator of the Year, Educator of the Year, and Safety Achievement. Submit nominations at the link in the member portal.

📰 March 2026 — Monthly Member Update

Workshop Success: The Polyurea Spray Fundamentals – Level 1 workshop in Kansas City attracted record attendance with 112 participants. Feedback scores averaged 4.7 out of 5.0.
New Technical Bulletin: TB-2026-03: “Best Practices for Polyurea Application in Cold Weather Conditions” has been published and is available in the AP Technical Library (members only).
Industry Partnership: American Polyurea signed a new MOU with the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) to promote polyurea as a preferred solution for underground infrastructure rehabilitation.
Chapter News: The Southeast Chapter elected new officers for 2026–2027. Congratulations to Marcus Beaumont (Chair), Kim Ratliff (Vice Chair), and Renee Taylor (Secretary).

📰 February 2026 — Monthly Member Update

Q1 Board Meeting Completed: The Q1 Board Meeting was held February 12. Key decisions included approval of the 2026 budget, launch of the new member onboarding program, and appointment of three new Technical Advisory Committee members.
New Member Orientation: 38 new members attended the February 4 virtual orientation. Recordings are available in the member portal.
Website Update: The AP member portal has been updated with improved event registration, a searchable resource library, and an updated Contractor Finder tool.
Polyurea Industry Survey: The annual AP Industry Compensation and Business Conditions Survey is now open. All member responses are anonymous and the aggregated report will be published in April.
